Riverside Refractories offers a complete line of castables for steel ladle linings. These materials can be cast in place or precast into impact pads, well blocks, and ladle bottoms. They include:

• MASP 20 is a tabular alumina based castable developed for use in steel ladles. It has excellent creep resistance, making it ideal for wall sections of the ladle.
• MASP 154 is bauxite based and combined with selected alumina aggregates and spinel to provide a castable for steel ladle applications.
• MASP W is a tabular alumina castable that contains spinel. Stainless steel needles are added for enhanced fracture toughness. MASP 20 W has been developed for severe wear areas in steel ladles.
• MASP AM1W is a white fused alumina product for steel ladle use.
